Volunteers

Volunteers are an important part of the efficient running of God's Little Lambs Pre-school as they allow the teachers and other permanent staff to get on with their jobs of teaching and caring for the children. While we may mention the names of certain folk here, it is not our intention to leave anyone out. We value the time and expertise given by each and every one of you - nothing and no one is taken for granted!

Pastoral Care

Pastor Nkosinathi Nobela makes regular visits to the school and ministers to both the children and the staff. Nathi has a real love for the children and a passion for teaching them the Bible. He also does some general maintenance and gardening to help with upkeep of the grounds.

Music Ministry

Each school-week over many years, Sonia and Leroy Smith from Howick Community Church spent time with the children, teaching them dance and singing. With Leroy's passing away, Sonja has continued faithfully in her ministry. The children are enthusiastic about both and look forward to their lessons.

Maintenance

There are always maintenance jobs to be done and numerous folk have volunteered over the years to ensure that the building and grounds and playground equipment are kept in good order. Our thanks to Wam Robinson who spent many hours making cupboards for storing educational equipment, files etc. The staff and some of the committee have also taken part in painting and upgrading the office, school entrance, playground equipment etc.

Sewers and Knitters

Where would we be without our sewers and knitters!

Many folk from our retirement villages and other private individuals have contributed to our annual winter warmth program over many years, so that each child gets at least a jersey and beanie or tracksuit top.
